Citizen Engagement & Public Spaces Prototyping
Spaces Designed.. With People, For People
The Citizen Engagement and Public Spaces Prototyping initiative focuses on empowering residents and visitors to actively participate in the design and development of urban spaces in Madinah, and to enhance quality of life.
The initiative relies on real-world experimentation and prototyping to test new urban ideas, enhancing the quality of public spaces while respecting the city's identity and users' needs.
Launching: Hand in Hand for Madinah
This activation marks the first applied experience within the Citizen Engagement and Public Spaces Prototyping initiative. A pilot urban prototype for skating and cycling ramps is being implemented within Shawran Promenade and Park.
The event aims to engage the community in experiencing and interacting with the space, then collecting their feedback through surveys — contributing to public space development based on user needs.
